When you look out into the never ending sea of vaguely aerodynamic beige and gray blandness populating our highways these days, it’s easy to forget that not that long ago cars were interesting. Especially when it comes to cars in movies and TV. Once upon a time these we not just modes of transportation, they were essentially characters in their own right, spawning merchandise and devoted followings.
We are going to go through our favorite TV and Movie cars of the 70s, 80s and 90s (and I think one from the 00s), vaguely rank them and talk about why we love them so much. When we started making our list we realized there were a lot of cars to discuss, so this will be part 1 of a 2 part show. Did your favorite car make the list? Come join us and find out.
Alan and Tim have been going to toy shows since we were kids. For the first time ever we saw what it was like on the other side of the table as we set up and sold at the September version of the Wayne Toy Show in New Jersey. It’s unclear if it could have been a weirder first time as the weather did not cooperate and made the entire day challenging on many levels. But we’re here to tell the tale. What was it like sitting at a table and watching people dig through our toys? Did we make any money or lose our shirts? Did we buy anything while we were there? Would we do it again? And what’s with that guy from another table trying to bundle things at ours? We’ll talk about all of it.
Ep. 57 - Finally, a Do Something episode that Alan and Tim BOTH went to! We took the road trip to Oaks, PA to hit up the 2026 edition of Retro Con. It was both of our first time going to this show, so we weren’t totally prepared for what would await us. Guess what? There were a lot of toys there. So as is our custom, we’ll break down our experience at the show, from the ride there, to how the line was handled, the show layout and of course all of the wonderful things to buy. We’ll go over our pickups and rank the show in the pantheon of other shows we’ve been to. This was a big show, so there’s lots to talk about.
Ep. 56 - It’s time for another Do Something episode. Tim went to the mystic land of Connecticut to attend The Shop The Curiosity: The Nostalgic Toy Show and will be discussing with Alan. We’ll go over the show itself, the layout, the stuff for sale and Tim will go through his pickups and a near miss with a grail-level item. After that, we’re going to briefly talk about the upcoming Wayne Toy Show here in New Jersey. Alan and Tim are going to be sitting behind a table at a toy show for the first time trying to hawk their wares to make room and fund some other purchases. We have no idea what to expect and will be talking through that.
Ep. 55 - 8/27/26: t’s time for another episode of The Rewind Club and this month Alan has chosen the Jim Henson / Lucasfilm movie, Labyrinth. Originally released in 1985, it’s a movie that Alan has grown up with and enjoyed. Tim has never seen it, so he watched and will be walking us through the plot and commenting on what it was like seeing it for the first time. Alan will be giving his perspective having grown up with the movie. Tim has not enjoyed Alan’s previous selections for The Rewind Club. Did Labyrinth break the curse and pick a winner, or is going to be cranky Tim on this episode? Join us and find out.
Ep. 54 - Alan went to Disney World last week and we’re going to talk about the 2026 version of the park. What’s new, what’s old and what’s gone. How does the trip hold up after all of these years? Can he convince Tim to ever go again?
Ep. 53 - The main event this week will be the 2026 San Diego Comic Con recap. We weren’t there, but Alan & Tim have put together a list of interesting reveals and exclusives to chat about. There were definitely some unexpected toys shown off and we’ll get into it. Before that, we will have a mini version of a Do Something segment as Tim went to the Toys For The Ages Expo toy show in Gettysburg, PA. We’ll be discussing that show and Tim will show off a few pickups as well as tell a tale of a purchase gone awry.

Ep. 52 - Alan & Tim have been picking up lots of new (& old) toys and other things lately. It’s starting to pile up so we’re going to do our first ever SUPER SIZE INVENTION EXCHANGE episode. It’s going to be all about showing off our new pickups and talking about them. Come see all of the wacky things we’re buying.
Ep. 51 - For the 2nd week in a row, we’re going to have a DO SOMETHING edition of the show. Alan takes the lead this time has he took a solo trip to the Too Many Games convention in Oaks, PA this weekend. This was a dedicated video game show with events, demos, panels and a big show floor with lots of games to peruse. We’ll here all about Alan’s experience and if he made any retro video game pickups. Come join us for that discussion as well as our usual Invention Exchange of recent pickups that weren’t part of the show along with our 2nd Now Playing segment, talking about the music, movies, games or TV shows that really held our attention this week.

Ep 50 - We’re back with another DO SOMETHING edition of the show, this time talking about the recent Mullica Hill Toy Show in New Jersey. Tim took the 2 hour road trip to the southern part of the state and lived to tell the tale. Join us as we recap the sights, sounds, smells and the toy pickups (Yes, there were pickups). We’ve also got our usual Invention Exchange to kick off the show and we’ll be debuting a new segment that will probably close each show going forward: Now Playing. This is when we’ll talk about one thing that’s really capturing our attention right now in the world of Video games, music, movies, TV shows or anything else that we play (or watch).
