Mondays are hard, dropping your kid off at college is harder, and somehow that sends us straight down memory lane. This week, Jenn is officially entering her college-mom era, which has us reminiscing about our own college days—from roommates and college sports to figuring out how to live with other humans and, eventually, become semi-functioning adults.

We’re talking about the friendships, chaos, independence, and questionable problem-solving skills that come with college, plus what it’s like watching your kids step into a whole new chapter of their lives. Somewhere along the way, we get into parenting, letting go, embracing change, and learning to trust the process… even when you’d really rather control it.

This week, we’re truly all over the place — in the best way. We’re recapping our weekends, questioning why hangovers hit so much harder these days, and somehow getting into cigarettes and the fact that people are apparently smoking again?!

Then, naturally, we shift gears into work, kids, and all the feelings. We’re talking about finding the balance between being fun and holding boundaries in therapy, what kids’ behavior is actually communicating, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, and how our own childhood experiences shape the way we look at kids today. Plus, we get into learning differences, the mental load of constantly consuming bad news, and probably a few other side quests along the way.
