Jim Bendell has been a trial attorney for over 35 years, most of that time handling injury and accident cases.  He graduated from Rutgers Law School, and worked as a prosecutor before resuming private practice in 1980.  He has also served as a judge pro tem and Superior Court Commissioner.  He is licensed to practice law in Idaho and Washington.

Today this personal injury attorney talk about how, most injury cases settle before trial.  However, the 'discovery' phase of the case, which takes place between the filing of the lawsuit and the trial date, is extremely important.  Many cases go south because of a client's careless answers in deposition testimony.  Also, client postings on Facebook are usually gathered by the insurance company.
