Persecution And Peace

Listen Later

We had a special seminar in our ongoing "Book of Acts" class this past weekend. In this, the first session, we looked into Acts chapter 4 and discussed issues of persecution and peace. How can we face tribulations and guard our hearts in the Lord’s peace at the end of the age? Watch with us, and if you enjoy these teachings, kindly share them to a friend.

Class notes are available here as a PDF.

EXCERPT:

This prayer meeting (in Acts 4) shows us that it’s entirely appropriate to ask God to heal and do the miraculous, and to do so in evangelization. You can pray for people in the name of Jesus whether you’re an apostle or whether you just got saved last week. You can be a pastor of 5,000 or a mother of five. You can be a man of 90 or a girl of nine. You see, God gave the Name of Jesus to every believer. The Church in Acts 4 specifically asked God to make them bold by Him doing healings, signs, and wonders through them in Jesus’ Name.

Friends, it can’t be wrong to pray for the miraculous if they did so. They’re my pattern – not people who spread unbelief, or who tell you not to pray for the sick, and so on.
