Rev Dr Goh Seng Fong’s sermon today on Nehemiah 4–5 highlighted how external ridicule, resistance, and rumours were used to emotionally attack God’s people. Pray persistently. Respect the opposition. Reinforce weak points. Unite around a common goal. Reassure one another of God’s presence. Refuse to quit. Dr Goh reminded the church that discouragement often comes midway through a task, but God strengthens those who remain faithful.
