Sermon Text: Daniel 6:1-28

Sermon Title: Persevering in Persecution

Main idea: Jesus promised us that we will face persecution. This is the experience of the majority of the church. How can we be ready and faithful when that time comes?

1. Persecution: It is promised and comes as a result of standing for truth and against evil and wickedness.

2. Prayer: Prayer is an integral part of our spiritual health, especially in persecution. Daniel prayed even though he knew the consequences. Are we faithful to pray, even now?

3. Providence: We are to trust in God's Providence rather than in ourselves. Ultimately, He is the only One who can deliver us.

4. Proclamation: When we glorify God for His Providence and faithfulness, people will see that and be convicted.
