Welcome to a new episode of  The Entrepreneur Podcast, today we have with us Ravi Trivedi  founder of Srijan Capital , CouponRani.com and PushEngage from Bangalore, India.

CouponRani, is an online website that deals with coupons, and offers from various online shopping stores, to help any online shopper to save on his shopping expense. In terms of number of merchants listed they are #1 coupon site, with the most listings.

CouponRani, is an online website that deals with coupons, and offers from various online shopping stores, to help any online shopper to save on his shopping expense. It is a coupon site with 1M+ visits every month, with over more than 3350+ merchants listed on our site and over 400+ exclusive coupons, which is only present on their site.  In terms of number of merchants listed they are #1 coupon site, with the most listings.  They also have the only Hindi coupon site present in India. They offer an API into our coupons for our Business Partners to display our coupons and are featured as one of the best 60 startups in Bangalore by Inc42.

CouponRani’s partners include top shopping sites like Amazon India, Flipkart, Snapdeal, PayTM, NearBuy, Healthkart, Zivame, and many more. Whether it is a small merchant or large they list all and show coupons for all of them.  Customers will find all the latest and working coupons from these stores and more, that can be used for enjoying discounts while a shopper makes his/her payment.

Ravi is the founder of Srijan Capital, which is focused on building startups, and  angel investing.  He is the founder of CouponRani.com, a leading coupon site, and PushEngage a platform for Browser Push Notifications. Ravi is an hands-on Digital Marketer with experience in running online businesses.He is a board observer and board member for few startups in his portfolio.  He is a Mentor for IIM-A’s iAccelerator, and Microsoft Accelerator.

Prior to this, he worked as a Principal at Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, an early stage technology venture capital fund in North Carolina, USA. Before Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, he worked as Equity Analyst with Bank of America, where he covered companies over $120B in market capitalization. He was part of the team that was ranked runners-up in the Alpha Hedge Fund Research rankings.

He started his career as a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard and has global cross-functional experience in leading and managing technology functions.  He worked in marketing, consulting and engineering functions at Hewlett-Packard.

Ravi co-authored the book Web Services Security, and participated in creating web services standards.  He holds a Patent for “System and Methods for Recommending Third Party Services”.

Ravi completed his MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business and has a Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
