This message from John 6:22–36 confronts the idea of a “Personal Genie Jesus,” a version of Jesus we follow for what He can give rather than who He is. After feeding the five thousand, the crowd searches for Jesus again, not because they believe, but because they want more bread. Jesus exposes their motives and invites them to stop chasing what perishes and believe in Him as the true Bread of Life. He makes it clear that faith is not a transaction or a checklist, but trust in the One God has sent. Jesus does not exist to fulfill our wishes. He offers Himself as the only source of lasting satisfaction and eternal life
