It has been just over 6 months since we, here in Texas, were placed on a stay-home order. Over the last few weeks, schools have resumed in person learning and sporting activities are officially on. Does this mean we are starting to get back to normal?!?! As we are moving around a more and more these days, aside from sports, what other extracurricular activities open for business? Tune in to today's episode to hear about the various activities Roxanne and Dr. Roque (and their families of course) have and have not decided to participate in. And as always, they'll end the show with a yummy (?!) drink and their favorite things of the week.

In recent years, the term Ish has often been added to the end of a word to slightly change the meaning of said word. Some examples of this are: Grown-ish, Fit-ish, Mixed-ish, Adult-ish, Thick-ish, etc... The list can go on and on. As a slight continuation with variation from the previous episode (if you have not listened yet, you should), Today's episode is all about an -ish that has become more familiar and quite possibly can even be credited with the "-ish" movement - Black-ish. Don't quite have an understanding of the term? It's okay, neither did one of our hosts. Tune in to find out which one and hear more about how Black-ish Roxanne and Dr. Roque may or may not be.

In my best Four Tops voice {We've got to go back, back, back to school again} from Grease 2. What used to be the most wonderful time of the year for parents has become a time of concern, confusion, and con-headache?! In the majority of the states, school has resumed in some fashion. We have seen some schools go all in with all students returning to campus at one time, some schools go all virtual with all students starting at home, and some schools with a combination of virtual and face to face instruction at the choice of the parents. Virtual learning and Face to Face instruction both have their good and not so good qualities. Join Roxanne and Dr. Roque as they explore the return to school for them and many others on today's episode.

In the wise words of William Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and the men and women merely players... And one man in his time plays many parts." While Shakespeare refers to them as parts, nowadays they are more commonly referred to as roles. Have you every really thought about the different roles you play? What is the cause of the roles? Why do we take on certain roles? How do the roles change over time? Can you play more than one role at a time? If you do, what happens? What determines the role you play and when you play it? On today's episode, Roxanne and Dr. Roque will take a deeper dive into the various roles we play on a daily basis! Tune in to hear more.
