Just like the season of “Advent”, where we reflect on the arrival of baby Jesus in our world, or during “Easter”, where we remember, reflect and celebrate Jesus’ triumph over sin and death, “Pentecost” harkens back to the events in Acts 2 and the arrival of the Holy Spirit with all believers. 

Pentecost is not just about God giving people the ability to become multilingual, or even just an optical sign of the Holy Spirit’s Presence, but a new chapter in the new reality of being in relationship with the Lord.

In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit was experienced by only a select few… Not until Pentecost that the Holy Spirit become accessible to ALL believers.
