The Easter season is a period that reflects an important spiritual journey in the life of the followers of Christ. This is a period; I believe that God will have us retrospect our faith and journey towards that place of total submission of our will.  Prophet Isaiah according to the book of Isaiah 53 reminds us of some of the most excellent qualities of what we should consider or reconsider in the commitment of our faith to following Christ. 

As we celebrate Easter, we again reminded that the call to be a follower of Christ is not some religious affiliation of those who can correctly reside the scripture better than others. The merit of this call is neither determine nor judged by the side of a denominational side we belong to.

The definition of a follower of Christ Jesus is not some exclusive, spiritual personality contest game we play with each other in proving who is the best.  Easter reminds us of the call to critically examine ourselves as bearers of the cross of Jesus Christ especially in an era where the preaching and teaching of the cross have become an enigma to many. This period must draw our attention to the single fact that we can change our world by deliberately reminding ourselves of the sacrifice paid on the cross for us to live according to his Father’s good pleasure
