Paul’s letter to the Philippians is all about helping followers of Jesus have a gospel

perspective on life. In a world full of many different perspectives we need a proper God perspective more than ever. Our circumstances might not change, but with Jesus our perspective can.

Reflection Questions:

  • Joy, prayer, and the Holy Spirit can help us through our suffering. Which of these three do you find easier or harder to cling to in suffering and why?
  • Why do you think it’s easier to talk about life and harder to talk about death?
  • Do you tend to focus more on the ultimate or the immediate?
  • What steps will you take this week to focus more on the immediate purpose of your life?
