“Fear only chases those who run from it” Jason
The slight of hand that quickly became the norm continues to refine it’s self through the Reagan and Clinton years. From Nixon’s Southern Strategy to States rights. It all refers to coded messages meant to go over the heads of the poor and minority and to the corporate and wealthy. These are the years in which politics went from apathetically keeping minorities down to moving poor Americans in that category as well and actively targeting them.
A millionaire takes a dollar from me to give one hundred pennies to one hundred of his richest friends. All in hopes that one of those rich friends will want to then give me a dollar. Trickle down, Supply side, States Rights, Eliminating welfare programs, While I know that the rich find us poor to be a burden I honestly wonder what America would be without us. If you eliminate the minorities, and the poor. If you expand the definition of middle class then the rich get richer and the middle becomes the bottom, Suddenly the barely rich become the targets.
in a consumer economy you need consumers, World markets mean conpetitive pricing for every class, and a free market means people can choose the services and products that they prefer. A monopoly means people now get to choose between getting fucked or raped. There is no quarter for those with less, and the solution for them seems to be apathy,
Look, It’s important. Nixon, Reagan, Trump, History circles, You have the upper hand though this time. You know what they are up to, We have more freedoms then ever before. It’s not race, gender, Age, anymore stopping you. It’s the belief that you can’t that makes us give up. Pay attention, run for a small local office, Listen to and talk to others that agree with you and those that do not. Violence is never an answer. Only a set back to progress. And please. If you don’t think like me. Please atlas think.
