The book explains how we are manipulated by media, salespeople, politicians and even on occasion, our kids. Read this to find out how to be less vulnerable to psychological tricks, and gain back some of the control over your life. Along with 'Thinking, Fast & Slow' it should belisten by every high school student. A friend recommended this book to me and I'm very grateful. Can't believe it took me so long to find it.

A detailed book that illustrates the principles of influence with many examples and research in an insightful way. Great listen

Great book! I havent read all of it, but am hooked so far. Very intertaining, well explained and has a lot of good information on the subject!
well organized
The book is well organized and well written, with chapters delving deep into the persuasive tactics marketers and salespersons might use and just how powerful they are. I had no idea authority had the power to make normal humans so cruel (the famous electric shock for wrong memorization study but also a military example where a man lost his legs because of an authority's command). Truly a book I want to relisten every year to not forget.
