Perth's first alleged terrorist named after court order lifted

Listen Later

Liam Alexander Hall, a 32-year-old Warwick man, has been publicly identified as the person charged with throwing a homemade bomb into an Australia Day rally at Perth's Parliament steps on January 26th. The device's fuse was allegedly lit but went out before detonation, potentially preventing mass casualties among the 2,500 attendees at the Invasion Day rally. Hall, who has a diagnosis of autism, remains in custody and is described by police as the state's first alleged terrorist, with his case adjourned until the end of March for psychiatric treatment.
