Tokenism often leads to subservience or isolation.  In this episode Felice engages with Professor Mia Tran to discuss the Pet to Threat phenomenon that many women of color, especially Black women, encounter in the workplace.  Once beloved, harmless tokens, these women become “threats” to be neutralized through isolation or removal at the slightest hint of their self-confidence, self-determination, and true excellence.
