During this time, Fall Out Boy's bassist, embarked on new ventures. He formed the band Black Cards, exploring electronic sounds, but they disbanded in 2012. Wentz married Ashlee Simpson in 2008, but they divorced in 2011, drawing media attention. In 2013, he released his semi-autobiographical book, "Gray: A Novel," exploring themes of love and fame. This period saw Wentz's artistic exploration with Black Cards, the end of his marriage to Simpson, and the release of his book "Gray," providing fans insight into his personal experiences.
