Seattle native, Pete Hopkins, is a Pop/Alternative Singer/Songwriter, Guitarist and Composer who is equally at home in both the acoustic and electronic musical settings. He is also an accomplished Engineer and Music Producer, widely acclaimed on the West Coast and the Pacific Northwest for his song-writing, multi-octave vocals, and guitar playing.
Pete’s music has been played on numerous programs and podcasts around the world including KISS FM, and BBC Radio (UK), and was a featured artist on 103.7 KMTT “The Mountain Seattle”. Recently, while touring Seattle, Pete was a special guest and featured artist on the Bob Rivers Radio Show (102.5 KZOK) and performed four new songs from his latest recording project. He also performed live on SMI Radio’s ‘Critical Sun Sessions’ with Greg Roth.
He was the Grand Prize winner of the world-wide competition "CODE BLUE" - Search for the Next Great Artist, sponsored by www.webceleb.com, Immergent Records, and Producer Mikal Blue. Pete recorded with Mikal at Revolver Studios in California, and continues to collaborate with Immergent’s roster of artists.
Pete Hopkins won the international band search sponsored by the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame "Rock with the Legends". The opportunity of a lifetime, he shared the stage with some of rock's most legendary performers such as Cream, Yes, Tower of Power, and Deep Purple. Pete took full advantage of this opportunity and has developed longstanding relationships with some of rock royalty's most prestigious recording artists. In 2013, he was invited back to the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame to perform with Roger Fisher for Heart’s induction into the Hall of Fame. Pete was a top 5 Finalist on NBC's "Star Tomorrow” with renowned Producer David Foster, and was also a featured artist on the VH1-sponsored promotion "Rock Across America".
As a Composer and songwriter, Pete has a successful career in both Film/TV and Commercial campaigns. Pete secured a multi-year contract with Viacom, with his original songs and cues placed across many of Viacom’s networks including MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1. Pete’s songs "New Umbrella" and "A Way of Our Own" appeared on MTV’s show “Made” in the U.S. and the United Kingdom, as well as other song placements on various films including the Lionsgate Picture release "Brutal" starring Jeffrey Combes which features his song "Just You Only You" in the end credits. His commercial campaign clients include Heinz, Splenda, Axion and Kelloggs.
Pete currently lives in Los Angeles, California and is recording his latest projects; an acoustic release titled “Stripped Down”, and an Alt/Electro Pop/Rock album entitled “PROJEKT RENEW”. He continues to compose for TV, and also performs to capacity crowds at venues in Southern California including The Viper Room, Molly Malone’s, and The House of Blues, as well as at venues throughout his hometown of Seattle, WA.
