Peter Bogdanovich, Director/Writer/Actor – The Film Scene

TODAY: Peter Bogdanovich, American director/writer/actor with a career spanning 53 years and counting. Bogdanovich began his professional career as a film critic, but changed his career path to film director in 1966. His most famous film is the 1971 drama film The Last Picture Show, which won its lead actor and actress Academy Award wins. After a few more hit films, and a few disappointing films, Bogdanovich's films were few and far between, but they each received positive critical reception, with his most recent film being the 2018 documentary The Great Buster: A Celebration.
