God is the ‘divine stirrer’, and our temperament is we like to be left alone.  We don’t like disruption, but God disturbs us.  Maybe we are being disturbed by ill health, financial difficulty or anxiety.   As we look at the life of Christ, he is increasing confronting and disturbing people.  Why would God want to disturb our nice comfortable existence.  When everything is OK, we stay where we are.   He wants something better than what we are currently, and the only way that can happen is when God stirs things up.
