We considered the prayers of Hannah and Mary who both prayed and they expressed something of their heart.

As we consider these two prayers, what is it at the hearts of these two women that would bring about this worship. They were filled with God and his purposes.

Hannah yearned and prayed for children, and then her prayer of praise when Samuel was born.

Mary’s prayer magnified the Lord. The two women experienced the God of the impossible, doing the impossible and their response reveals the character of their hearts, and this teaches

The first matter is praise. Mary could have focused on difficulties, and Hannah had been grieving for a long time, but they both praised Him.
