Peter Falk: Squinty-Eyed TV Detective with a Secret - Episode 50

The story of Peter Falk and his alter-ego, “Colombo,”  is rife with trivia.  Some of it easy, such as, “Name a Colombo trait that emphasized his uniqueness.”  The right answer could be: his rumpled topcoat, his tendency toward verbosity, his ever-present cigar, or his ugly greenish-brown tie. 

And some questions could be difficult, such as, “Who was the screen writer’s first choice to play the low-key detective?”  The answer – believe it or not - was Bing Crosby.

And there’s this question.  Peter Falk had a real-life physical disability that added another dimension to the realism of Falk's Colombo.  What was it?
