The Clean Energy Council released its first quarter report mid last week.

It shows significant momentum for big battery andĀ storage projects across the country and the level of investment is the most since the final quarter of 2023 which holds the record of $2.8 billion.

Clean Energy Council Spokesman and former broadcaster Chris O'Keefe told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "The batteries do work in South Australia, they have worked in South Australia for the best part of a decade."

"There's been you know heat waves and storms that that battery has managed to ensure that the lights have been kept on for South Australians and yes coal's done a wonderful job for Australia over a really long period of time but it's getting old," Mr O'Keefe said.
