Kitelo is an Ogiek community leader and land rights activist from Kenya, who was born and raised in the forest and moorlands of Mt. Elgon, where he and his community have experienced violent evictions from their homes despite living peacefully and sustainably on their lands.

In this interview, we explore the tensions of forced land rights and evictions, his organisation and activism for justice for the local people, and focusing on their successes.
