In the mid 1980s Peter McNamara was working as a barman at The Laird, during which time he watched the DJs and learnt how to mix records. Pretty soon he landed a resident DJ spot, one night a week.

Then The Peel decided to take a chance on this new-comer and Peter played to his first dance floor. From then he was hooked, going on to play at big the parties like Red Raw and Winter Daze (Melb) and Mardi Gras and Sleaze (Syd). Playing just about every club and bar in Melbourne, he has received a string of Rainbow and Diva awards for best gay male DJ.

Peter's music style is varied to say the least, playing anything from deep soulful vocal house to more rolling progressive house. Peter has played at The Market over many years and he continues to be a crowd pleaser. Be sure to put him on your shopping list when you're out Late Night Shopping
