Another advisory group aimed at shaking up how we teach our kids is being called excessive.
This one's looking at replacing national standards and brings to 10 the number of working groups on education.
Auckland University Associate Professor of Education Peter O'Connor told Mike Hosking he doesn't think it's necessary.
"You wonder if 10 working groups is a little excessive for education. I tend to think so."
O'Connor says the government and the previous government need to stop messing with education and agree to a common set of principles.
