The discussion about legalising cannabis is back - or at least decriminalising it.
A new survey by the drug foundation has found 87 percent of people support medicinal cannabis - which isn't really much new.
But surprisingly more than 60 percent of people have voted for cannabis to be decriminalised or legalised if you grow it for personal use.
Principal economist at NZIER Peter Wilson has been saying since 2016 that legislation, combined with a number of other things, is a better way to reduce harm from the drug moving forward.
