Last week, we heard about how Peter really gets things. This week, Peter misses things so badly Jesus says to him "get behind me Satan". Unlike today, back then, a cross was a symbol of horror and torture, of oppression and ridicule. Thus, when Jesus say's if you want to follow me, you must deny yourself, and pick up your cross... how do we do this? Do we try to go our own way, like Peter tried to do? Are we willing to loose our soul for Jesus sake?
