Publican Simon Hawkins is well known in Petersfield - he ran the Drum until five years ago, and is a familiar face, along with his brother James, at farmers' markets under the banner of Hawkins Brothers wine.
Last week Simon was celebrating the exchange of contracts on the Cricketers in Steep, which marks his return to life as a publican.
Shine Radio's Kate Fairweather caught up with Simon, who reveals his hopes and plans for the pub.
He has just two months to refurbish, redecorate, hire staff, plan the menu and get everything just perfect for launch at the end of March.
We'll publish the whole "journey" at the end of March.
In the meantime, you can follow his progress by listening online at shineradio.uk on Wednesday mornings on Rise & Shine with Blake Swell (between 6am and 10am on Wednesdays).
