Recorded at OPEX Risk Management, David Lloyd joins us as the guy that keeps NASA safe on the ground. He shares that the organization is able to take learnings from space and apply them on the ground. As David tells it NASA has a lot of information on human factors. When you get to learn from advanced humans like astronauts, you learn a lot about behaviors from the most mundane to the most complex and hazardous activities…in the worst of conditions from the best prepared people. He remembers lying on the living room floor watching the space walks in 1969 as his mother was hanging clothing on the laundry line which had him realize that she was living life as he and the rest of the family were watching life…and ultimately, history.
