Paper Flower Consortium's historian, Loretta Fabron Onfoy, explains the importance of employment to the vampire and the hardships of staying current with language and technology, along with the re-education fund. She tells the story of her First Born, Bai Xiao, a candy maker who once worked in his parents herbery, became a vampire, a translator, and then a system administrator.
