The purpose of this document is to establish a comprehensive protocol for Wildlife Control Operators (WCOs) to clean up raccoon latrines within structures. These latrines pose a significant health risk to humans due to the potential presence of Baylisascaris procyonis, commonly known as raccoon roundworm. While government agencies have provided guidelines for outdoor latrine removal, there is a lack of industry standards for indoor latrine cleanup services. To ensure the safety of clients and WCOs and prevent unethical business practices, a standardized protocol is necessary. This document will specifically address the removal of raccoon latrines within structures and address safety and ethical concerns related to offering these services.
