PGP-700 Revolutionizing Mosquito Control with In2care: A Pestgeek Podcast Product Review

Listen Later

Welcome to this episode of the Pestgeek Podcast with Franklin 'The Pestgeek' Hernandez, a highly experienced integrated pest control management professional. In this video, we'll be discussing a brand new box of In2care that I recently ordered. I purchased eight of these units for this property.

Compared to Inzecto, In2care is going to be about 33 percent more effective on my calculations and less expensive than Inzecto. So, Inzecto now has some serious competition. As a result, we're expecting that the price of sachets for In2care will go down because the sachets replacement are seven dollars if you buy a hundred bucks and they're nine dollars if you buy a 50 box, which is very expensive.

Then, you have to decide how many you need on a property. A property this big is probably going to be eight to ten of these. So, these are eleven dollars a piece right now. If we can put eight and solve it, we're looking at 88 dollars every three months because they're changed out every three months, unlike Inzecto that has to be changed monthly or every 45 days.

We're testing them out and pushing Inzecto to two months to see what happens, see if we can still get the control and see if we can see the larvae and what the client experiences. Because you have to compete in a marketplace, and when you're competing against spray companies charging for two services among a hundred dollars a spray service, we're starting out at anywhere between 89 to 109 dollars a month for one monthly visit. The customer calculates price based on the monthly visit. Well, he's visiting me twice a month; you're only visiting me once a month, and you have to compete with that.

But what we're buying is the result. It's Permethrin with pyroproxyphen. That's the label right there. You fill this little thing up to the line like right here and then you basically put it somewhere or hang it. We're going to get some wire ties because I'm going to hang it from between trees and shrubs outside so they don't get damaged. The landscapers don't destroy them, dogs can't get to it, kids can't get to it. So, I'm going to put about six feet in the air, which is really good for mosquitoes. You can go as high as 15, but six to eight feet is going to be really good.

In some cases, we're going to put it close to the ground. What you want with mosquitoes is you're putting it in places where there's very little air movement. They're going to like where there's no air movement. It's dark, wet, and there's water. If you can create the perfect environment, there are our rodent stations back here. We might stick this product, In2care, back here, which is really far away from the property and maybe just hang it here, you see? And not, you know, that way we're in an area where it's nice, there's a wall, the air is being blocked. If we can stick it behind the tree where the air is blocking it in a corner somewhere, that's the ideal place for putting these types of stations. It's where there's very little air movement, there is a lot of shade, and possibly the water, and the water is going to be in here. So, we create the perfect environment for a mosquito to want to be in.
