Sue opens up on her pharmacy journey which started after graduating from the university of Sydney. Passionate about pharmacy and adventurous, Sue’s pharmacy journey took her abroad where she worked as a pharmacist in the UK on 2 separate occasions, before returning to Sydney as a locum Pharmacist. 

We discuss the state of pharmacy, Covid-19 and its impact on employment opportunities for locum pharmacists. We also touch on the shortage of pharmacists out bush, the challenges of rural pharmacy recruitment and the scholarship opportunities available to students who want to experience rural pharmacy. 

Sue takes us 32 years back to the genesis of LocumCo, how she got into recruitment and some of the challenges she faced along the way and dive into a typical day in the life of Sue. Finally, Sue shares invaluable career advice to all pharmacy students and pharmacists,  the mindset needed when pursuing any career hack and the antidote to success.
