In this episode we speak to Shobana Srikantharajah, a Canadian born and raised, newly registered pharmacist in Australia. 

Shobana shares her unique pharmacy journey which started in Toronto, where she worked in various community pharmacies during her undergraduate studies at the university of Toronto. Destined to study pharmacy, her dream came to a halt when she was rejected from two pharmacy schools. Despite the setback, her passion for pharmacy and perseverance drove her across the globe to seek more opportunities. 

Shobana shares her experience working in 3 different Canadian pharmacies. We discuss different pharmacy models, including similarities and differences between Canadian and Australian pharmacy practice.  

Through Shobana’s personal experience and challenges, she dispenses valuable tips and advice for the numerous overseas pharmacists who want to HACK their careers by practicing pharmacy in Australia. Furthermore, actionable tips and strategies for anyone considering Australian pharmacy schools as a destination.
