The Eagles broke open the playoff window when they traded for WR A.J. Brown in the 2022 NFL Draft. That move also expedited the growth of QB Jalen Hurts and provided opportunities for fellow WR DeVonta Smith to break away for bigger plays. They ended the 2022 year with a trip to the Super Bowl but did not finish that game in confetti. At this point in the 2023 season, the Eagles have the best record in the NFL and credit goes to defense and the improvements made with two first round picks a new SS in Kevin Byard.
