It’s Thursday, January 24th. Thieves and forgers are stealing homes ... from the dead. Philly neighborhoods are gentrifying, causing home values to skyrocket. City records show that a number of people who are no longer alive are somehow signing away their properties. An Inquirer investigation shows that several of these suspicious transactions placed homes in the hands of a man who was able to complete some deals while in jail. But these are not isolated incidents.
