Good morning. It’s Thursday, February 21st. Leaders at the oldest reform school for boys in the U.S. hid a long history of abuse. An Inquirer investigation into the Glen Mills Schools in Pennsylvania revealed serious violence involving school counselors and students, including reports that counselors throw punches and break boys’ bones to punish them for breaking school rules. It’s both an everyday occurrence and an open secret.
