Good morning. It’s Tuesday, February 26th. High winds up to 60 miles-per-hour ripped through the Philadelphia area yesterday. The wind knocked out power for tens of thousands of people, forced some schools to close early and meant delays or cancellations of more than 100 flights out of Philadelphia airport. The reason for the severe wind: the region was sandwiched between areas of low pressure air in eastern Canada and high pressure air in the Northern Plains.
