It’s Thursday, February 7th. Supervised drug injection sites may now have to fight a legal battle to come to Philly. A U.S. attorney filed a lawsuit to keep Philadelphia from becoming the country’s first city with a supervised injection site. Those are places where people with addiction can use drugs under medical supervision, be revived if they overdose, and access addiction treatment and other social services. The sites are controversial.
