Welcome to The Safe Space!
Paul closes with a heartfelt call to stand firm in the Lord, addressing those he loves and longs to see—his joy and his crown. He urges unity, asking believers to settle their disagreements and work together, remembering that their names are written in the Book of Life.
“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then the peace of God, which exceeds anything we can understand, will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all that you have learned and received, and the God of peace will be with you.
Paul expresses deep gratitude for the believers’ renewed care for him. Though he has learned to be content in any situation—whether living in plenty or in need—he declares, “I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Their support was a sweet-smelling sacrifice, acceptable and pleasing to God.
And with confidence, Paul reminds them: “My God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” He closes with praise to God and final greetings, ending with a blessing of grace for all who belong to Jesus Christ.
Verse of the Day: 1 Peter 1: 8-9
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now,you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
Message of the Day:
Love without sight is a strange but wonderful thing.
