Paul encourages the Philippians to rejoice, not at their own circumstances, but "in the Lord." Indeed having their minds set on the Lord and his work brings great peace.

Philippians 4:1-9

Spurgeon told his students to preach at least five times a week to help their voice. Lacking so many opportunities, I started preaching to the wall with a recorder. It took about a month for me to realize the preacher needs to HEAR the gospel more than work on his voice. I need to hear it over and over again. Perhaps others do too.
