As 2020 draws to a close, where should our focus be? How can we move ahead into 2021 with the right attitude that will cause us to be able to honor Jesus and live for His glory? Joy and peace are not dependent upon circumstances, but rather are supplied by God who gives freely to those who trust in Him. Paul has some direction for us concerning joy, but he is not speaking from an ivory tower disconnected from real trials and suffering. Paul suffered tremendously, and was currently suffering for Jesus…and yet he had joy. What is the secret?
