Phillip Brandon was born into a world of music. Inspired by his mother, a Raylette singer who performed with Ray Charles and a music aficionado father who introduced him to soulful legends such as Earth, Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Ella Fitzgerald, and the Whispers, Phillip has seamlessly and timelessly mastered the art of engineering musical fusion of jazz, funk and rock.

From humble beginnings in Inglewood, CA to performing alongside multi-platinum rock group Trans-Siberian Orchestra in sold out arenas across the United States, Phillip Brandon has been described as "the intersection between Luther Vandross and Bruno Mars". His wide range of experience includes features in the Broadway national tour of Oprah Winfrey's 'The Color Purple' as well as the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock, Patti LaBelle, Take 6, Shirley Caesar and Patrice Rushen.

Phillip attended an international language magnet high school where he studied Japanese. He furthered his education at the historic institution of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his Bachelors degree in marketing; he was afforded the significant experience of embracing all walks of life and diversity. His passion for learning, bringing people together, and bridging cultures is carried through in his music.

His current self-titled EP is a reflection of his wide range of experience and a projection of his evolutionary musical genius. Phillip is excited to have you joining his journey as he expands his soulful musical dialogue with the world.
