Philadelphia Daily News & Inquirer sportswriter Mike Sielski (named top sports columnist in America by the Associated Press in 2015) joins the program today. Sielski gives initial thoughts on the Phillies' signing of Bryce Harper & the Eagles' trade for DeSean Jackson before we tackle his book "Fading Echoes--A True Story of Rivalry & Brotherhood from the Football Field to the Fields of Honor." Fading Echoes revolves around two football players (Bryan Buckley & Colby Umbrell) from local teams (national powerhouse CB West & CB East in Doylestown, PA) and their respective paths from the "gridiron" to the military, as well as the stories of the communities in which they lived (note, being both a football & military-themed book, there are some instances of edgy language).
