Human beings evolved to become philosophical beings. We had to know the truth of things, not because we loved logic & reason, this was simply a matter of life & death.
Every issue is a philosophical issue. The moment you ask a question about anything, you have begun a philosophical inquiry. You want an answer. And "answers" are the sole prerogative of philosophy. This is the utility of philosophy: it's ability to procure solutions to problems through thought, reason or experience. But above all, Philosophy is a mindset.
Disassociate yourself from the idea of Philosophy as a University degree, get rid of that man with a white long beard that comes to your mind whenever you hear "philosophy" being mentioned, but rather think of it as the goal of all learning. It's an attitude.
