October 24, 2023Why Christians Should not Celebrate HalloweenOn today's episode, I continue to share specific reasons why I firmly believe Christians should not celebrate halloween. We are called to influence the culture for the cause Jesus Christ. Yes, we are in the world, but we are not of the world. So why are some so willing to jump in on the halloween festivities? Can it be because some Christians don't want to feel left out, or they don't want it to seem that they don't know how to have fun? Maybe they don't want to seem as though they are too "strict and boring"? I often wonder why churches celebrate the fall season with events like, trunk or treat or fall festivals. Why is fall the only season they feel the need to celebrate? I mean what happened to Winter, Spring, and Summer? Whatever the reason, it needs to stop. September 05, 2023Its Okay to Not be OkayOddly enough there is still a stigma attached to receiving psychotherapy. That's not right. This world is a very crazy place most days and it can be a challenge just getting through the day much less dealing with baggage. I believe it can be quite beneficial to seek out a psychotherapist to help navigate through it all. Your past traumas and unresolved issues can have a huge negative impact on you being your best self if not addressed. On today's podcast, I share why psychotherapy can be a good thing that can change your life for the better.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/philosophy-friends-and-food--6478388/support....more5minPlay

It is important to have a work/school/life balance. After all, we were not created to be alone. Yet, as Christians, we are too busy or too tired to go to church. On today's Points to Ponder I discuss the reasons I attend church and why you should as well.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/philosophy-friends-and-food--6478388/support....more10minPlay
