This will be a different episode of The Insider podcast and that is because it is the first time I have a co-host! Her name is Charlotte Andersdotter, and we’re doing this together just because we can’t go for our cup of coffee in Brussels. Charlotte is the person to blame if you are not happy with our premises in Rue du Luxembourg, in Brussels because she was the one suggesting there were some free spaces in the building back when we were looking for a place to open our shiny INESC representation in the heart of the quartier européen.
Charlotte, besides being one of the most dynamic and knowledgeable “Brussels bubble insiders” is the Head of Office of the RISE representation in Brussels.
Our podcast has the habit of starting at the beginning and today will be no-different!
Our guest of honour is Pia Sandvik, CEO of the RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. Drawing on an academic and corporate experience in some of Swedish top companies and universities, Pia has also been one of the 4 advisors to the Swedish Prime-Minister for modernisation of industry in 2016 and this resulted in the development of very successful industry-academia collaboration programmes.
As CEO of the organisation mandated by the Swedish government to keep the national industry competitive and innovative, we will make the most of our time and explore her expectations for the future post-Covid19 paradigm, the role of research and innovation in designing a better world and how can EU programmes help promoting a more resilient and sustainable future.
