Listen Later

In this sermon from 2 Corinthians 5:1-11, we explore how our earthly bodies are like temporary tents while heaven is our permanent home. Using camping as a metaphor, Pastor Orrin explains that just as we long for home comforts after camping, believers should long for our eternal dwelling with God. The Holy Spirit serves as a guarantee of this future home, giving us courage to endure present trials. This eternal perspective should create a holy discontentment with our temporary existence and motivate us to share the gospel with others. Our mission is to invite neighbors to meet and follow Jesus, recognizing that nothing else matters if we get this wrong.

Question for Consideration

How might viewing your body as a temporary tent and heaven as your permanent home change the way you approach both daily challenges and your interactions with those who don't yet know Christ?
