INTERVIEW: President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson, Khusela Diko has taken leave of absence following allegations of her husband’s involvement in an alleged PPE tender scandal.
This comes after reports in the Sunday Independent that Diko’s husband, Amabhaca King Madzikane Thandisizwe Diko The Second, had been awarded tenders to the tune of R125 million by the Gauteng Department of Health to supply personal protective equipment.
The contracts are among 90 Gauteng government tenders being investigated by a nine-institution unit headed by the Special Investigating Unit.
